    SAFE AND EFFECTIVE ANTI-AGING TREATMENT

Multitrepannic Collagen Actuation (MCA) aka Dry Needling and Microneedling

  • Multitrepannic Collagen Acutation (MCA) is a revolutionary way to reducing aging by decreasing wrinkles and tightening skin through stimulating production of new collagen. This is a wonderful alternative to laser re-surfacing and chemical peels which damage the epidermis of the skin. The epidermis is a complex and highly specialized layer of skin that is only .2mm thick. It is our only protection from the environment and harmful chemicals. We should never damage the epidermis unless the risk of leaving the epidermis intact is greater than removing it, as in skin cancer situations. To rejuvenate facial skin and look really young we need a perfect epidermis. The downtime of MCA is much shorter than with chemical peels and laser resurfacing. In only a few days you can go out with out any remaining evidence of the treatment covered by makeup. MCA is practically painless, risk-free and is a great alternative to injections. The results of MCA are much longer lasting and more affordable.

  • How Does it Work?

MCA works by creating minor trauma to the skin using fine needles to penetrate through the epidermis and into the Dermis. The dermis starts an inflammation process. Then fibroblasts move into the area and start producing collagen to help with the healing process. The collagen then fills in the wrinkle and therefore smooths out the skin. Minor bruising or swelling may be visible for a few days. For best results, a series of the three treatments should be done about three months apart.

  • Scars, Stretch Marks, and Age Spots

MCA can help flatten, soften, and relax scars. MCA can be done on a scar after 12 months of healing time. MCA works by breaking up the scar tissue as the needle enters through the epidermis. The minor trauma allows the body to increases the melanin in the dermal layer. The melanin fills in the area where the needle entered and helps the scar blend with the surrounding tissue. Age spots also can be minimized or completely disappear with this treatment even if they have been around for a long time.

  • History

The first written works were by Dr. Camairand who discovered that when he had tattooed over scars the client came back with the scar diminished and re-pigmented naturally. Dr. Des Dernades read these works and did some experimenting to find that when needled abraded scars would plump up. It was Doctor Kristan Matzek, the Vice-President of the American Academy of Micropigmentation, who took this finding to the next level. She discovered that dry needling could be used to effectively reduce wrinkles and tighten skin.
